There’s More to the Barossa

The Barossa is the world-renowned home to more than 150 wineries and is home to more than 550 grape growing families, many with the sixth generation still working the same plot of land and supplying quality grapes to more than 170 wine companies.

But there’s more to the Barossa Valley than just world-class, award-winning wineries. The Barossa also boasts a rich and flavourful food culture revolving around local produce that has been gently simmering away since the arrival of English and German settlers in the 1840s.

Whether you want to explore your favourite wineries or discover some of the diverse and unique tasting experiences the Barossa has to offer, call and book your day trip today. We can tailor your day trip to suit your needs.

Maggie’s Farm Shop & The Farm Eatery

Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop is one of the Barossa Valley’s traditional favourites. Visitors are encouraged to wander around the shop, explore the pantry and take the opportunity to taste a range of Maggie’s artisan wares. In fact this is the only place in Australia where you have the chance to see and try just about every product they make.

Take the time to talk to the dedicated team about Maggie’s story and ask questions about the best ways to use the delicious range of Maggie’s products.

Barossa Valley Cheese Company

The Barossa Valley Cheese Company is an artisan cheese producer located in the CheeseCellar in Angaston in the Barossa Valley.  Dedicated to creating fine cheese made with milk sourced from local dairies, the Cheese Company has been operating since 2003  and focuses on hand-crafting a variety of fine cheeses, including fresh cheese, washed rind cheese, soft white cheese, and semi-matured cheese.

Mettwurst was brought to the Barossa from Northern Germany back in the 1840s, but for almost 40 years Steinys has been perfecting their craft to produce an exceptional quality mettwurst made from premium Australian meat and smoked using local hardwoods from the woodland regions surrounding the Barossa Valley.
