Crabtree Watervale Wines

Crabtree Watervale Wines boasts a long and proud heritage, with the cellar door located in a heritage home that dates back to when the Clare Valley was first settled. The Crabtree site has been planted to vineyards for well over 100 years, with the first vines being planted in the 1880s, though none of these original plantings exist today. Today’s vines include plantings of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, reisling and tempranillo.

The knowledgeable and welcoming staff are always happy share the history of this award-winning winery and the passion behind the Crabtree Wine label.  You’re encouraged to try our handcrafted wine range whilst enjoying the view across the valley and township.

The cosy Cellar Door presents a unique opportunity to enjoy a personal tasting experience that only a boutique winery can provide.

Taylors Wines

Taylors Wines is a family-owned and operated winery located in the Clare Valley that has focused on crafting great Australian wines for three generations. At the Taylors Wines Cellar Door you’ll find many ways to make your visit enjoyable. From relaxing in the superbly manicured winery garden area with a glass of wine and a cheese platter, to enjoying a game of boules or cricket on the large lawn area.

Of course, they also offer educational tasting experiences and tours of the winery. Taylor Wines are happy to customise a unique tasting experience to meet your requirements.

Claymore Wines

The Claymore Wines Cellar Door team are warm and friendly and strive to ensure your time spent at the winery is entertaining and memorable. You’re encouraged to prop yourself up on a stool and lose yourself in the wine tasting experience.

Alternatively, you might prefer to relax and soak up the sunshine with a glass of wine and enjoy a cheese platter of South Australian cheeses and local produce. Claymore Wines stocks a range of local produce at the cellar door, including olives and oil from Evilo Estate, sauces from Patly Hill, and soaps from The Sugar Shack Soap Co.

Knappstein Wines

Knappstein Winery is located in the old brewery building, built back in 1878, making it one of the most iconic and easily recognisable wineries in the Clare Valley region.  While the company closed brewing operations, Knappstein Enterprise Winery now concentrates solely on winemaking, creating some medal-winning wines using the finest local fruit grown in the rich soils of surrounding Clare Valley vineyards.

Established by Tim Knappstein in 1969, the current cellar door operations focus on creating fine wines, including reisling, shiraz malbec and cabernet sauvignon.
